The outcry to vote against President Barack Obama was heard loud and clear in West Virginia.

In the Democratic primary there, 4 out of 10 cast votes for Keith Judd, a prisoner in Texas serving time a for making threats at the University of New Mexico in 1999.

Obama earned 59 percent of the vote. Judd received 41 percent.

From October to the end of April, the US government has detained more than 6,500 unaccompanied minors who had crossed the border, nearly double the number detained in the comparable period the previous year, according to US officials.

Most of them come from Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador, countries that are close to Mexico's southern border, and generally range in age from 14 to 17, though some are younger.

Clintondale High School in Metropolitan Detroit has flipped all of its classrooms, and may be the first school in Michigan to do so.

Based on just their short experience with this model, it appears to be a remarkable success. According to Principal Greg Green, since exclusively using the flipped classroom, the school has dropped their failure rates for freshmen in English from 52 percent to 19 percent, in math from 44 percent to 13 percent, in science from 41 percent to 19 percent and in social studies from 28 percent to 9 percent. And this is a school that one might reasonably expect to have higher than average failure rates, since 70 percent of it students come from low-income households.

They put signs up outside offering free pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, and other services that Planned Parenthood normally charges for, and it’s working!
