    “I can't” or “I'll never be able to” are such abrasive terms, that teachers or parents often treat it like curse words, often asking to recant and take back what has been said. In fact, its the common in most public schools to inspire students by asserting that, if they try hard enough, and work long enough, and never give up, they can become or do whatever it is they want to do in life.

  2. I Hate Doubt

    I hate doubt, especially when it comes to God. All I want to do is know the Truth. The only thing worse than doubt though, is people who say you should just live with your doubts. A friend of mine recently gave me this quote from a preacher’s blog:
    We think having faith means being convinced God exists in the same way we are convinced a chair exists. People who cannot be completely convinced of God’s existence think faith is impossible for them. Not so. People who doubt can have great faith

    I had recently heard it argued that the most popular and well known verse of the bible is not John 3:16:
    For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. KJV
    Rather, the most popular verse in the Bible is Matthew 7:1:
    Do not judge, or you too will be judged.NIV
