I turned on Fox news, I saw several Deomcrats gathered around-smiling. I thought "SH**! this doesn't look good. Then I saw Ms. Snowe and John McCain-smiling. I knew then that we sold the farm. If John "Judas" McCain is so proud of "bucking" the Republican party, then he should LEAVE, GO. He'll be missed like a bed-sore on my ass. And take the other pu**y RINOs with you.

Senate Deal Hamstrings GOP till 2007 The deal struck by Senate moderates Monday night to head off a so-called "nuclear" showdown over judicial nominations makes it impossible for Republicans to block Democrat filibusters for at least the next two years, according to the text of the agreement.
The compromise signed by seven Republican Senators includes the following provision:
"In light of the spirit and continuing commitments made in this agreement, we commit to oppose the rules changes in the 109th Congress, which we understand to be any amendment to or interpretation of the rules of the Senate that would force a vote on judicial nomination by means other than unanimous consent or Rule XXII."
Sen. Ted Kennedy immediately seized on the provision, hailing it as a victory Tuesday morning for Democrats.
"The idea of the majority leader in the middle of the term to alter and change the rules of the United States Senate is effectively off the block now, for the remainder of this session," he told CNN.
With the provision in effect till January 2007 - when the next Congress is sworn in - President Bush's plans to appoint conservative justices could be in serious jeopardy.
With Bush in his second to last year in office and the 2008 presidential race underway - the administration isn't expected to have the clout to force through any controversial appointments.
The 18-month postponement also gives Democrats the chance to diminish the GOP's Senate majority in the 2006 election, a development that could further erode support for ending judicial filibusters.

Pretty damn disgusting how these RINOs caved in. The RNC better never call me again for a donation, because they sure in the hell don't know how to act when their constituents bust their butts to donate and vote to get them in.
Some majority party... I will say this much about the Dummy-crats...at least when they're the majority they know how to act like it. If they were in majority power they'd weild that power like a battering ram. I thought that's how politics worked, SENATOR MCCAIN??
Several people called in to Hannity today and said their Senators will be punished in '06 for what they did (and rightly so)...
Proud American Infidel
I guarantee you that the Democrat will NOT reciprocate if and when the situation reverses itself. The Democrats are all about power and will NEVER relinquish it under any circumstance.

Don't trust them if your life depends on it.
Bingo Texas Golfer!
McCain comes off as this guy who wants to make nice, but I think there is some serious conflicts going on with him and the Republican party, and it all goes back to his run for the Presidency in 2000 and Bush's campaign against him. He may not be a Democrat exactly, but he sure as hell hasn't put the Republican party first.... We can thank McCain for Soro's and Moveon.org....
The problem with a lot of these Senators, is that they think they are rock stars... This is something that we the base are NOT GOING TO FORGET, in the 2006 elections, but the worst thing we can do is stay home. We need to be even more determined to support REAL conservatives, and to get the RINO's out... but don't give a dime to the RNC....because they just pool the money and dole it out to the different Republican candidates....

(2005-05-25) -- Sen. John McCain, R-AZ, who earlier this week brokered a deal over judicial nominees to protect the rights of Democrats in the Senate, today announced a compromise with DNC Chairman Howard Dean which would effectively give Democrats the White House for three of the next five presidential terms.
"The purpose of elections is to protect the rights of the minority," said Mr. McCain, "So, we've agreed to block the nomination of conservatives to the Republican presidential ticket and to lead our more progressive constituents to vote Democrat in 2008, 2012 and 2016."
Mr. Dean, whose party has won three of the last 10 presidential races, hailed the compromise as a "great stride toward restoring civility and fairness to political life in America."
"I don't know why people call John McCain a 'maverick'," Mr. Dean added. "From my perspective as DNC chairman, he's not bucking party leadership. He's a solid, party-line guy."
Liberals are NEVER happy.
