Switzerland invades Lichtenstein

"Someone has to teach these meddling Lichtensteiners a lesson!!", the Swiss Defense secretary did not say.

Reports say that the Swiss were actually upset that Lichtenstein does not use a 'Z' in the spelling of their country's name as the Swiss do.

"We wanted to show them the error of their ways. Our troops captured the Prime Minister of Lichtenstein and gave him a rather nasty Indian Burn and a Purple Nurple until he capitulated.", a unnamed source in the Swiss army said.

For now the country is now known as Lichtenztein. Ambassadors for both countries are now at the UN thumb wrestling for a resolution to the matter.

Further updates might happen...then again, probably not.

france responds to Swiss invasion of Lichtenstein:

Meanwhile on the other side of Switzerland, the french are taking military precautions in case the Lichtenstein invasion is not the only part of Switzerland's annexation plans. Military officals in france will not give an offical response on the issue but unoffically someone named pierre said,"we are taking this event very serious and making contingency plans to distribute white flags to all of it's citizens in the event of an attack. Natuarally, the ones closest to the invaded boarder will be the first to recieve these shipments but it is imperative to realize that no french citizen should have to raise a weapon in defense and flags will be distributed before any type of defense of the country would be necessary." Also as a precaution the entire country is lowering it's national flag to make it easier to raise a different one.
