I was waiting for the final tally. Thanks, Hondo, that's a good enough split... But as for why that thread might be more than archival quality now? It's just the only thread I found that might segue into the correct view of a humorously better direction for the Republic... from someone besides Nettie who can't run for President (also John Lee's more about less oppression, more liberty). And I thought everyone here would like when Mr. Hooker said "not to pity the democrats." Beyond that, the fact he said "I can't be bought... I have a hay bail of money in my back pocket," might be an argument for Romney, I guess.
Anyway, I do love the song, especially when he said, 'If any trash talking journalists come around, I might cut them; I might shoot them, I just don't know." Truly, truly the best back off warning. Any questions?

Your post calling the thread "9 months old" was made on 01-23-2012, 7:33 PM. The thread was started on 05-24-2011, 10:39 AM. Any way you slice it, from 05-24-2011, 10:39 AM to 1-23-2012, 7:33 PM is almost exactly 8 months - not 9.
If you repeat your assertion on or after about 2-20-2012, you'll be more-or-less correct then, but your original statement will still remain problematic. And by your argument, your new statement (and your original one) would both only be correct for a few days, and would then be rendered erroneous with the passage of time. Uh, no. There's a significant logical error in that argument.
And that still doesn't address the logically valid alternate point of view which bases thread "age" on "dead time" (e.g., elapsed time since last activity on the thread) vice starting date. From what I've seen here, the latter POV IMO seems more apropos. Harv and the other moderators here seem to only very rarely close/lock threads. Waiting for a definite "end" thus seems rather an exercise in futility.
