2-1 vote, I'm impressed it wasn't unanimous. Or did the 1 get fooled by the method of voting?
This is insane. This is also the third time voters in CA voted against gay marriage. Because of technicalities, judges thew it out until this last one, prop 8, which has also been upheld in the courts. This needs to go to the Supreme Court once and for all and be settled. I love states rights, but this seems to be one issue that should be uniform across the country.
It would be great to get another Conservative Supreme and a Conservative Pres. and Congress - we could set these commie bass-tards back a couple of decades, but they're like a hydra, they keep growing new heads.

So, if the people approve sanctifying homosexual relations via marriage, that's great. If they reject it, the courts rule it unconstitutional. Either way, we lose, according to the radical left.

This must remain a state issue. The ultimate goal of the homosexual left is to sue churches out of existence. Do YOU trust what Kagan, Sotomayor, Ginsburg, Breyer and Kennedy might do if a case reaches SCOTUS? The first four are part and parcel of the hard left, and Kennedy is a fool.Bob
The whole point of getting this before the SCOTUS is to allow this to remain a state issue. As it stands now, the 10th Circus has said that it is not.
The State of California has already used established state procedures to amend its state Constitution to prohibit gay marriage. The California Supreme Court has affirmed this as being valid under California law. However, the10th9th Circus has intervened, ruling that the Federal government may tell California whether this amendment to the California state Constitution islegalto be allowed. If that unilateral, asinine action by the10th9th Circus is allowed to stand, then every constitutional change in every state becomes subject to the whim of the Federal courts. And without the SCOTUS overruling the10th9th Circus here, that precedent will be set nationwide.

^Exactly. California voters have addressed this issue three times now, and every time some judge or court has tried to over turn the voters.
It's pretty discouraging.
