    Per the CBO, It's Official

CBO: Longest Period of High Unemployment Since Great Depression

And since unemployment was less than 8% when Obama took office in Jan 2009, it's all Obama's. He must be so proud.

Oh, and the CBO projects it won't improve above 8% for another 2 years.

Hope and change? Yeah, right. If this is an example of Obama's change, give me back that "same old-same old".

With their unemployment-insurance checks running out, some of the country’s long-term jobless are scrambling to fill the gap by filing claims for mental illness and other disabilities with Social Security — a surge that hobbles taxpayers and making the employment rate look healthier than it should as these people drop out of the job statistics.

Shyness, grief and eccentricity could suddenly become mental health disorders if the newest edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders goes through as planned.

Good morning, boys and girls. Can you say "Carter-era Stagflation"?

Forget the CPI - Everyday Prices Are Up About 8%

I guess today really isn't such a beautiful day in the neighborhood. Maybe January 20, 2013 will be.

Hell, that's just from the gas being in the low $3.00 range. Wait till gas has been above $4 constantly for a few months. These damn products we buy need to start walking themselves to the store instead of hitching a ride.
